This usually means that loading the mod failed. You either do not have a Linux compatible netgames/Anarchy.d3m file, or you forgot to copy the libdmfc.so.1.0 file to /usr/local/lib.

Yes, keeping IRC would be the best since any other protocol would require a chat program running on every platform (which actually is a problem right now with Vortex, but at least you can use any IRC client on Linux or Mac).

Eh, it doesn't really matter to me. The .loki/descent3 is fine but it is probably confusing to anyone new who comes along as there are ways to install from the windows cds, not the loki ones. If it was just changed to ~/.descent3 that would probably make more sense. I think this should stay where ...

Thanks! It actually works with both, but it's better to use the Linux CDs. Unfortunately you will have to wait for 1.5 before you can do anything with the installation - so you can just delete it if you like.
