Erm. Maybe you should have a quick look at the calendar.fulano wrote:I have used D3Edit v1.1b8 & v1.1b8j by Nirvana and v1.1b10 by Atan. None of them work.

Those versions are much more than just outdated.

Well, actually installing the files shouldn't be too hard (I also had a look at "unshield"), but I actually don't think we can get it to work with every platform (a program which uses the same source code for all platforms won't be possible). I tried briefly to compile it with Visual Studio, but it ...

Dear Scare, when playing Co-op the idea is to rescue the hostages, kill the robots, wait until everyone is ready for the exit THEN destroy the rector. No! Leave the rector alone. ;) Since most levels roll over after the reactor has been destroyed (but again, don't touch the rector), it's a real ...

Yes, the idea is not bad, but I think not doable. There are too many different CDs and language versions around. The GOG version doesn't come with a CD and needs to be extracted/installed first before it can be verified or copied. Several files are different in all versions, hence would require a ...

Kevin, I appreciate both your statements. I do not distribute a full copy of the game without people confirming first that they own a legal copy themselves (for that very reason). Pyromania is based on Descent 1.5. To host a PM server it's enough to select 'Pyro15' in the server tool (server configurations) instead of Descent 3. In-game servers work like other in-game servers. Thomas; you have no idea what you are talking about or how Descent 3 TCP/IP games over NAT routers work. There is nothing wrong with the router, it is just how D3 netgames work when NAT is involved. It must be a router setting. Some firewall or security setting from the WAN. Turn everything you can find off. Routers don't need a firewall (actually, they *are* nothing but some sort of a firewall by design already) unless you have a static IP. In that case you can turn some flood recognitions on ...

Each one of you has his own computer, I suppose. How do you connect to the internet? You got to have some sort of \"box\" somewhere to which you're both connected to. Re:
The empty servers use almost zero resources. Closing them literally does almost nothing to improve the performance of the full server. It does, because you can't compare CPU resources in percentages in real-time applications like games, expecially on Windows. But I think that doesn't belong here. ;)
