Descent 1 has the walls, it just wasnt used very much. (Level10)
switches were a nice addition to D2, but they are wayyyyyy overused.

its not the same, you might not even be able to tell they are similar until youve become familiar with both campaigns. the D2 Maximum explaination... ^ the AWE64 uses the GM35REVC.SF2 (3.5mb) soundfont. its a very early version of what is now 4GMGSMT.SF2 (4mb), so they might sound similar but not exact. some songs however dont sound very similar. the AWE32's 1MGM.SF2 is drasticly different due to only being 1mb. the Ensoniq (8mb) pack is ...

Also add the option to have in-game animated level exiting sequences like in D1 and the Interactive Demo, but that would require some graphics work (Quartzon and Baloris Prime would be particularly hard I think) this can already be done, escape sequences for Zeta Aquilae already exist from the demo ...

...just open the d2x.mn2 file, and delete the ' z' before 'name'. That is, convert " zname = Descent 2: Vertigo " to " name = Descent 2: Vertigo ". this does work in DOS Descent 2 also. you can have both versions of Vertigo at the same time so you dont have to constantly edit... copy d2x.hog & d2x ...

the only hard D1 levels are the few levels where youd run out of energy/weapons before finding/getting to an e-center. beyond that the balance is fine.
just porting D1 into D2 makes it easier, except for the secret levels.

if the editor (DLE-XP?) cant insert D1 reactors, i would most certainly request it.
check the D2 DEMO for exit sequences, they should be able work.
D2XR can do exit sequences when playing D1's HOG/PIG.

what program are you using to swap palettes? and import?
you should be using DTX/DTX2.

file and format have been updated! insted of it being a "HOG MOD", i was able to convert it into a simple D2X-R Add-On Pack. all the cinematics and stuff still all work perfectly. an interesting way of using the Add-On feature for sure :D thx goes to...
