I think in a matter of starvation one's higher reasoning is one of the first casualties of the human body and I think social taboos are part of that. For me if it came down to the unavoidable choice, cannibalism or painful death by starvation, there would only be two questions. Who to eat and which ...

I tend to dismiss that type of thing as an attempt to dress propaganda with something that only looks like lab coat. However that does not necessarily mean it's incorrect. I try to keep an open mind whether I agree with the premise or not. Regardless of whether it is right, wrong or in between it is ...

I've never been able to get a glide wrapper to work with D23DX, I did however get one to work with Tomb Raider (to see if it worked at all) and it was a poor substitute and didn't look very good. Slow frame rate and all that. However I never ran Tomb Raider with a voodoo card so I can say how it ...

d2x-xl-w32-1.9.252 D2DEMO broken now
Has anyone tried D2XXL with D2Demo lately? First and most obvious is instead of guages in cockpit view I see thrusters sticking out the front of my pyro. Rear view is totally fudged up. hit zones seem to be fine though. If you got it working right I'd appeciate a copy of your pilot profile and D2X ...

Which Gallery? Here is another one I made to display on Kali with an image link. Kali lets you cheat and tweak a little by implementing different text, fonts and sizes. a quick screen shot to capture it and you can get some pretty cool images. http://img149.imageshack.us/img149/8863/stankybeerud7 ...

Kali Chat Art
Here's one of my recent MOTD text art attempts. It is not ASCII art in the strict sense. I like doing this stuff because it only shows up properly on Kali Chat. The image host sorta drains the color. It looks better on my Kali server motd. server # 008 http://upload8.postimage.org/525102/ASCII_Clip ...

Here's my 2¢. Dell has laid the egg, it wont be long till something hatches. IMO Developers will see an opportunity to cash in on the new niche that opens up. After all, there is less competition in that software market. I think it would be ideal target market for a start-up software company for ...

I was under the impression the new turn rate is 40 fps, not 30 fps. However, I'm fine with 60 FPS. How I set up the new versions of Descent in Kali: First of all, I set D1X-Rebirth up as a custom game and name the Game \"D1X-Rebirth 0.50\" and not by selecting Descent from Kali's list of games to install then redirecting the default to a different executable. This also allows me to see D1X ...

And another thing!
D1X already supports scrolling through subdirectories in the mission file folder, but it does not let you \"browse\" through them by name. So, if for instance you want to keep your D1 Missions separate \"<Ladder>\" we know that is a folder, we highlight it, hit enter, and scroll through the anarchy ...

1. yes. Make the demos easier to find & delete or offer to others. 2. I like the mission directory option. You can seperate different missions for single play, kali, & coop and use a command argument, for instance, in the kali game launch with -missiondir Kali or -missiondir flag, then set another ...

Back Compatibilty
I use D1X 1.4X, usually 1.40, I see D1 Rebirth listed as version 1.5, which is a bad thing because it allows rebirth into \"D1X only\" games and D1X only games' main objective with all versions was mainly to limit the spew to keep the weapons count at a logical level and to keep accurate track of ...
