What's a VTM?
And like or hate half life 2, valve is doing something which I think is kind of cool and should be done more in video games, they've been releasing new maps and mods for the game over time. they've released half life 2 deathmatch, and are going to release day of defeat (a world war 2 online game) for free on it.
also, i've heard that they're releasing an expansion for free, detailing what happens after the end of half life 2.
VTM's are video training moduels.

They are video training programs that are on the DVD version of the game. They give you a full out training course in every area of modding UT2004.

The first part I think was something like 30 hours and that isn't even the tip of the iceberg

These are avi videos that litterally allow you to watch someone build a level/model a vehicle/script/write a mod right in front of you while explaining everything they are doing in full detail.
