robo,

I can setup most any currency, all I need to know is what the correct exchange rate is.

I will research it for you.

I believe it's roughly £1 = $1.7 at the moment.

i thought that once you got to the paypal page it would automatically send as USD by converting from GBP on your end.

its like an ebay auction is USD ... you sent XX USD and paypal handles the rest.

p.s KB it's fyrephlie not fryephlie, or you can just put clocktower computers back and keep everyone guessing:D

Hey KB.. I just have a couple suggestions. One, don't do the increasing post count thing. (I'm not sure if that's a joke or not.) I'm gonna donate because I enjoy the board and want to see it stick around, not because I want to buy some sort of status quo. Two, could you try to set up some sort of a financial status page... if you want make it accessable only to those who donated in the past, or at least only to regestered users, but I would like to be prevy to information concerning how the money I donate is being used, and how many donations are required, say, per year. I'm not saying that I don't trust you, but I think the accountability would act to quell potential problems, and in fact encourage people to donate when it's really needed. (Once the newness of being able to donate wears off, I'd expect donations to become a relatively forgotten thing if people are not kept up-to-date on whats happening) Hope you don't take any of that personally... just trying to assist in making it a lasting positive thing.

snoopy,

Once I get this database issue worked out you will be able to see all online donations if you are a registered user. The snail mail donations I will have to manually enter but that's ok.

robo,

Per your request the DBB should accept USD, GBP, and EUR is there another format that I need to add?

I based the exchange rate on x-rate.com or something like that :) added 12/20/05

I'll get AIM just for you Lothar, :D it's like ICQ when AOL bought them out I dumped it, but I re-installed it for ferno and MD.

As Lothat pointed out I moved all the feedback donation vs post count number comments to the feedback forum.

I would like to take a moment and Thank each and everyone of you for your donations to the DescentBB Community.

My kids will be visiting thier mother on Dec 26th. I can start the transfer to the new server that week. This time the DBB will need to be down for possibly a few days, there is considerable maintaince that needs accomplished.

I would also like to take this time to thank all of our Moderators and admins. You efforts are apprecaited by myself and the community in general.

Merry Christmas to you and yours this Holiday Season.

Ok,I think I've updated the database, I am human, and entered everyone except the last one on the list. "MT" Once I verify username I will add it to the database too.

Assuming there is another donation we will find out if my fixes worked ;) Basically the original author of the MOD I installed had hard coded some database table names. I believe I found and corrected them last night.

Please proof my entries for errors, and I will correct any oversites/errors.

Merry Christmas to ALL!

PARTY TIME!

OK at least the script is indeed automatically logging donations! Man what a load off me, now all I really need to fix is the displaying of the "Donors/Benefactors Page" you know it's like the Plaque near the front door of musuems and finer establishments :D

So I guess this means that I NO LONGER need to manual add to this list!

Merry Christmas to ALL!

Hi Mobius,

I'll have to make a DBB_Master to do it see the underscore, I am heading to the airport to get my kids off to visit thier mother. But I will be happy to do it later. If you would prefer something different let me know.

By the way. Merry Christmas.

Never mind my response now I know who you are :)
