[RESOLVED] donor listing...

Post by fyrephlie »

on the bottom there is that list saying that there haven't been any donors yet... i don't suppose you can add us in there... or just remove it without taking away the donate button (and use one of my buttons... cause i like my buttons :D).

Yes, I know I have been having a problem getting the script to write to the database.

See my comments here ...
phpbb/viewtopic.php?p=147053#147053

This is why I am updating the list at the top to this thread ...

I assume it wants to add more to the existing sql database? Make sure you or the script that installs the listing has created all the tables it needs and has permission to access them and that they also have the ability to create any temp files if they require them, and they are set to the correct restrictions with chmod.

Thanks Krom,

I'm pretty sure it has to do with the final handshake between the phpbb script and paypal.

Yes ALL table are there and permissions are correct, at least I think they are, I guess for grins I caould always set those to 777 and do a test donation, the only problem is paypal won't let me donate to myself!

I worked on that database writing problem last night! Whew most mods people offer are setup with no hard coded information.

This person offered this phpBB MOD which I appreciate, but there was hard coded information on every database routine. Since I'm not a programmer it wasn't obvious to me, well I was up till 4 this morning looking thru each and every line of code. I think I fixed it.

Checking now ....

WOOOHOOO I was finally able to manually add peeps! That would lead me to believe, that the handshake between paypal and the DBB should take place now. UNLESS the changes I made at paypal cause a problem :P I'll find out with the next donation :) Since paypal won't let me donate to myself :P

KB

P.S. I will start manulaly entering those donations alread received.

LOL, man tired, Santa needed some help last night building the bikes!

It would be nice for you guys to set these type of tags migth make ot easier to prioritize and follow up on board issues.

It works pretty good at the integramod.com site in teh support forms. Usually once an issue gets solved the thread creor will add a solved or resolved prefix.
