Here's my censoring idea.
Modify the word-censor system so that when a word trigger is triggered - it flags that entire post (Adult Flag). Then give the users the option of showing flagged posts - or having the entire post replaced with a "censored post" message - or having just the relevant words censored out. Also give new-thread posters the option of manually triggering the entire thread as Adult Flagged. You could even have an automated system that automatically Adult Flags an entire thread if more than a certain percentage of posts within are Adult Flagged. The Adult flag on threads would be visible.
Then just delete the entire NHB - or perhaps keep it just for "letting it out" venting rants.
Because there is often confusion on whether to move something to NHB or not, because it is perhaps say suited for E&C, but is merely moved to NHB as a form of "pergatory" to get it outof view of minors. The Adult Flag system would kindof fix all of that, allowing NHB suited topics to go into any forum and minors (and ppl who just don't want to see it) are still protected from it.
This idea could be implimented in a lot of different ways, you could choose to have individual words triggering different kinds of Adult Flags: Laungauge, Porn, Sex, Violence, Drug-use, perhaps based on film ratings.
Is anything mentioned in this post workable? i hope i gave some ideas.

i see it as merely a cultural and language barrier.
One we can all work with by using a kindof \"translator\" that censors out whatever we may personally find unacceptable. A form of per-user censoring.
Since all complaints are on a per-user basis - it would be the perfect solution: protect just those users who would complain.
