Upgraded the phpbb ...

I upgraded the phpbb template engine tonight it was flawless.

This should speed us up a wee bit, for one a cache is now used for the dbb template. So this should help. plus the basic sript improvemeents on the backend should have some positive impact on the site.

You can select the "style" from your profile page, currently there is really just the what we have. I will see if I can get some of the community to develope others for us to use. There's an enormous amount of "canned" templates available, we can use most BUT there will be some tweeking to each template to provide some features.

Cool, though at the moment all three styles look identical to me, might have to clean my cache out to get them to take.

I doubt it, I just cloned the DescentBB style to the DBB_Green I was going to try and modify the _green to the verision I have posted in the Gallery.

I subice I don't think is there, I will get a copy and install it but I am sure it will require considerable amount of work to get it looking right, since teh DBB doesn't really have a "light" banner.

From the amount of activity in the gallery forum the community has very few active artists

Sure really yhr only benefit anyone get is a speed increase absolutley NO CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE yet

No really the only real change that is noticeble to a user is the option found within your profile ONLY the select a sytle or template. Now if you change the template watchout

I just created the cash , I don't think I really needed to though, this way the engine has read and processed the 3 exisitng templates.

Have you seen any changes?

You know I didn't even look subsilver might actually have been changed to what we have now. MD would know.

Either way IF you don't see a change let me know and I'll see if I can find the original subsilve template

huh...

so up until today i had only one template option under my profile... i switched it to the dbb_green one ... which is waaaaay different.... looks cool though...

I am working on the DBB_Green so you'll see things change and get messed up and change again until I finish it

I have a thread in the gallery here where I have been discussing this and also asking for users to make templates, or maybe they know of one they prefer I or they can work on it and I'll add it to the list of template options.
