is something wrong with timespans? i'm using the solaris theme.
This is not the only forum I have seen this issue come up. I think it's a general issue with a lot of forums. Probably a forum update is needed to fix this.

This should be an easy question: How hard is it to change the url for the links at the top of the page?
It would take no time to make a custom google search bar. The search button could link to a single page with the bar, or we could get rid of the button and actually place the bar in the site's head. THE REASON I GIVE THIS SOLUTION is that it's five minutes worth of work that a noob like me could competently achieve. Also we don't even have a faq page, which is kind of funny. Perhaps the site's ftp server need a new account for someone to make improvements to the code. Doing that might be a better move in the long run.
phpBB v2.x has horrible broken search that only ever works on tiny forums with hardly any posts, it can't be quick fixed so google is the best option for now.
Just as the DBB eventually got off UBB (which had equally horrible search) I am confident we will eventually update to phpBB 3.x which features SQL native search that doesn't break. The upgrade process isn't that difficult, the biggest hold up would be porting/updating the default theme to match the forum functionality. However we have absolutely no idea when this update will occur so don't ask.

No one is asking for that.
