Old player back from the ground here.
Was gaming the other night, and I came to the realization that in no game have I ever been as satisfied with the explosions as am with D3. Somehow even my own ship exploding just brings a smile to my face.
You guys know what I'm talking about, that nice impact mortar/ship piff BOOM! (I'm still confused as to why no other games since 1999 have been able to make things explode as nicely.) After loading it up I remembered all the other things I loved... The joy of fragging the right hallway at the right time... the guilty pleasure of microwave gunning with the black pyro. I've spent last night getting myself setup and up to date with most of the maps i've seen running, at least on the gamespy list... is the GS-Arcade list of games pretty comprehensive?
Just wanted to check in on the state of things and give my regards to you, the hardcore, whom I love, and love to be owned by.
You probably don't remember me, but I have played with a few of you, and I remember getting piloting tips from testiculese way back when. Look forward to being your cannon fodder, and maybe scoreing a cheap frag.
