The only benefit I can see is that taking the train might allow you to bring your own systems more easily. Other than that, it's idiotic to even think of it
Wow! Lothar, mongoose, kurupt... it would be hard for me to pass this up, even though I don't play anything now. I hope it's in August! My schedule, even in summer, is usually taken, but I would love to make it.
Haha, that would be great loth . It looks like it'd be an 11ish hour drive- I can't remember how far suncoast was but there would be a lot of variables involved. I will keep an eye on this and try to see more definitely as it gets closer and things firm up.
Clone7, yes I'm from Maryland. I'm in northern St. Mary's County(Mechanicsville to be exact.) Why ya ask... ? I'm currently looking at transportation issues...
Well, because to get to suncoast I split travelling fees with some guys (Testiculese and Demon) and it seemed like a good way to go . I'm in Baltimore now, so maybe we can work something out as the date gets closer.
Guys, the weekend of July 30th is the what we're shooting for. Does this sound good? I just wonder if this date is too close to the May 28th Califest date.

July 30th is perfect, my Birthday is Aug. 2 and id accept that as a gift from my dad .
JF, if you seriously think that you could possibly make it to this LAN, bring that whore Shadowfox with you. I know I'll be there no matter what the date is, as long as it's set in stone at least a month in advance.
Anyone driving from Texas? If so, maybe we could organize some sort of thing to make it cheaper on all of us. Myself, Silence, Rhino, and maybe Roncli are interested in going. We all live in the Houston area.
Ferno,
Sadly, no...I looked at it, but if/when I do go to Cali, it's to be outside and enjoy the city...not be in a room full of geeks ...but seriously, I can't. Would be fun though.
This Chicago one is about 20 minutes away from me, so it'll be all good! (And I won't have to worry about anything this time!)
OK Folks, the website is up, although the information that we can provide is limited at this point. But stop over @ www.d3chicago.com and check it out!
It's a joke! We can't set a price till the site is locked down, so I just threw a number in there. I used a number that I figured would make people stop and READ THE WHOLE PAGE before they registered. Looks like it worked... nobody has registered yet!
