It's been that way for a while now. I think it's made more money on eBay than when Interplay was actually selling it.

There are a few alternatives, though; you can download the Home of the Underdogs version and grab the missing high-res files and cutscenes from a certain community FTP server, or you could download the ISO images directly from another site. Regarding the second, you could always argue that, since the FS2 EULA allows copying the game for use at a LAN or to give to a friend, downloading them is "legal"...
