But the State Department thought, albeit an important distinction, being so blunt would strain foriegn relations.
When pressed by the presidents staff as to why we should care about the sensitivities of a country full of sheep buggering know-it-all's the State Department declined to respond...

i'd say for anyone to be taken seriously it would be vital for the world to speak this time with many completely independant voices - we don't need another all eggs in one basket - "coalition of looking for WMDs" fuckup.

Reminds me of all the people here who get tight-assed when the PM states her opinion on what the US is up to lately.

They just fail to realise that firstly, what she says is so subtle and possibly ambiguous you'd have to be trying to take offence from it, and that secondly, the US couldn't really give a damn what the leader of a country so small most people don't even know where it is thinks anyway...
