HAHA!
Man, with all the modifications we made to our Mod class Pinewood derby cars I can't believe we never thought of that!
too bad that it didnt work too well.
maybe a smaller engine, or maybe cut an engine in half for a shorter burn......
prolly a good thing I'm not involved in scouting anymore. Next years Pinewood car would be dangerous!

He obviously needed a better aero package. More down-force.

Holy shaking cameras batman! Tripod?
That's really funny though. I thought of that, but there was something in the rules against it at my place. Shame, though, looking back I should have done it anyway.
cut an engine in half
Wouldn't work.

The guy wouldn't attach a guide wire to the "rocket", so when it went wacky, I bolted for cover. I really didn't feel like having a pinewood derby car imbedded in my forhead.

Ah, that's fine... it just looks like you've graduated from the same school of cameramanship (is that a word?) as the guy in the Bourne Supremacy.

Oh man, I saw that movie at the theater, and let me tell you, I spent 7 years at sea, and never once even felt an inkling of motion sickness... That friggin chase scene made me want to walk out of the theater. WTF are these dumbass directors thinking? Too much reality can sometimes be a bad thing

Lol. If you watch the -4x, you can see the non-boost car pass the flaming wreckage of the rocket car and beat it to the finish line.

Actually what is really funny is that the rocket car NEVER passed the regular car while it was on the track!

But just think of if it had a guide wire! VROOM!
we actually did this with a paper airplane and attached an Estes rocket engine to it.

Just found out that someone in the facility was hauled off that day by ambulance because he was highly allergic to something in the rocket!
Allergic to the rocket gases? WTF!

I have seen Bourne Supremacy twice now (once at the Theaters, once at home), and I have yet to figure out what everyone is whining about. I thought the movie was great, and I never really noticed the screen shaking nearly as bad as some of you would have others believe. Maybe it was because I was willing to immerse myself in the movie, instead of taking an analytical look at it from the outside of a box while not really paying any attention to the movie?
And @ Clutch... 192 days... has it been that long since the Chicago LAN?

Stupid, I walked out of that movie with a headache because of the camera movements.

i can't say i remember annoying camera movements in that movie. i enjoyed it. (i havn't even seen the first one!)
DC maybe you'd feel better with it on a smaller screen - try the DVD perhaps.
