Life is a ★■◆●
Well, after 17 years together, 13 married my wife and I are splitting. I doubt we will get back together. It's been to long in the making.
My days are stressed and long and I cna't wait to move out(next week or so). I've got myself a good job with a company that is huge so I'm not worried about money.
I have a few friend both online and offline that help me out. Thanks goes to you guys.
I tell ya, don't ever stay in a marriage that isn't meant to be or even a relationship. It's not worth it. I've wasted at least 8 years because of it.
Anyways, just thought I'd share this bit of news.

I'm sorry to hear that CDN_Merlin, I have a sugestion after obvserving my friend's recent marriage breakup.
Reach an amicable settlement before approaching the lawyers. He paid and she paid half of an $8,450.00 total bill from both lawyers.
The rest went to them and the kids.
Otherwise you all are going to give away all your assests to legal fees, time in Court, and grief.
If she has any reasoning whatsoever she should see the benefit of this approach, and if not for her but for the kids financial health as well.
Nuck out.

Yup no doubt about it, but the sooner you can all reach an agreement to sharing assets the less grief you are exposed to.
Remember things are things and that's all they are. Try not to get emotionally attached to things.
With that thought in mind use it to look at it as not things being lost, but things being converted into your share of net cash at the end.
Use that cash to invest in your life and start anew.
A long process but try to be fair to each other.
Good on her to drop the Court thing too.
Still sux to see it all go though
But remember that the new thing smell is cool too!
Good Luck
