Neighbors

There are two neighbors who lives in houses of glass
One casts stones while the other casts cruise missiles
Their burdens cast onto a serpentâ??s belly
And a picket fence of flaming swords
Separate their gardens

There are two neighbors who live in two houses
They glare at each other through walls of windows
Looking into mirrors
They strain out the gnat yet they swallow the camel
But theyâ??d swallow cyanide before theyâ??d
Swallow their pride

Theyâ??ve shattered their hearts and bled on their hands
Then point to the other and claim bloodguilt
They plead for God on the Eve of extinction
But He laughs
And says, â??I told you so.â?

Oh, you mean this?

Seriously tho, it's a nice poem. A little pessimistic, but nice.

If it's about what I think it is, it's too over-simplified for my tastes. Nice structure/word usage though :).

I know. I was thinking Middle East?

Note: I don't want to drag this into politics. Any way you look at it, it's a well-written poem :).
