... Last night after a BI3 session wore down to a few of us, someone suggested hitting the Skybox-Hoard server...

There was me (Mungambe), Von-Canuck, Cobra, and even MAx-Kragen ! .. (sorry I forgot one of us who was there before Max joined.

Well we had an Orbgy ! What a riot ! 3 orbs to score, and I wore my Tank. It was funny to be in a green tank, always carrying 3 or more orbs, and always getting blown up .. ! My green tank was like a chicken laying green orbs for everyone else !

Max, What did you think of those pretty green orbs that go " gloorpp" when you pick them up ..? The pilot called "Ho" used to say that it made him feel like he was "feeding" when there were oodles of green orbs to pick up .. "gloorrp, gloorpp gloorpp"!

And there were lots of those preciously panic stricken moments when every one blew up all together infront of teh scoring-base, with 10 or more orbs all hanging there ready to be picked up by the first re-spawned pilot to race back there.. ! Then we'd all blow up again, even more green orbs spewing forth, and one lucky bastige then gets them all just by grazing on the field of orbs just a stones throw from teh base...

Hey all you burnt-out/ bored with anarchy, little headed (i.e spaceboy) or big headed (i.e. Kurrupto.) pilots... ! Get back to Hoard !

Hoard SLW ! even Hoard Abend ! ... hmmm I wonder how a Hoard BI3 would be... ?!

Seems I dropped my fair share of green globules in those, "Green Hoargy Fests" by the energy centers too

Nothing worse than battling to get 6-7 orbs and then ending up with 12 shields, turn a corner, and then see a freshly spawned tank turn my way...

Yehaww!

I always love a good Hoard game, I kind of like Hyperanarchy too.

ENTROPY!

It's hard to get enough players to stick out a game, but once you do it's a blast as well... almost like Descent/Chess/Anarchy/Team Modes all thrown together... real fun mod.

Entropy: Two teams have three kinds of mini-bases: refueling centers, repair centers, and virus producers which can only be used by the players of the corresponding team. To win, the teams must take over all enemy bases by having a player gather 5 virus powerups and remain perfectly still in the enemy base for 3 seconds.
Sounds weird but it's really cool and makes for a complex game of level control. Section [9.6]links to Tetrad's Entropy Guide. (Some dead links there)

Hoard always adds some spice to Anarchy. I've really gotten bored with Anarchy myself; I'll only play it if there's not a good CTF/Monsterball/something else with some people in it, or if someone's starting a game from scratch. Things like Hoard and Hyper-Anarchy add some much-needed strategy.

Canuck, Entropy rocks . There's a pretty good guide for it on PD somewhere. By the way, speaking of Entropy, who was it that organized the Entropy nights a few months ago? I had a blast at the one I went to, but they seemed to have just dropped off.
