RC Cars? Pfft, RC tanks!

Someone over at OCForums linked to Dan's Data for some reason I now forget, and I couldn't help but notice Dan's reviews on RC tanks. From what I can tell after chasing scads of dead and/or japanese links around, there's 3 major category of these things.

1.Zip-Zap style mini-tanks that you can play lazer tag with(much more fun then racing, eh?).
2.Larger indoor tanks that also play lazer tag.
3.Big ass outdoorsy tanks that fire airsoft, BBs, or small paintballs.
A RC forum poster wrote:These tanks will fire a pellet 70-80ft ,with enough force to rip through paper, dent a coke can and leave a nasty welt on your leg. I have 4 of these tanks, 2 with mounted mini cameras on the barrels so that I can run the tank outside and view it on a 13" tv in my den. I like to park it out by the wife's flower garden in the evening and wait for the wild rabbits to approach.
Remote TV tanking? Laser tag? Desktop wars? The more I look at them the more I want one of each type.

Anyone here actually have any RC tanks?

I'm thinking about making (or at least designing- I don't think I have the money to buy the materials) myself a radio control submarine over this christmas break, we'll see how it goes.

oh man, mine is soo used and been out in all terrain....all that stuff got worn/scratched off.

its the one that Toys-'R'-Us had couple years ago. no sounds or any of that childish crap, it was a stand alone....9.6V Turbo M1-A1 Abrams. it is all-terrain capable, has 60 deg. climb capability.

its about 18-20" long and about ohh 7-8" wide.
