Heh... I'm caught in a dilemma. I want to quit smoking but my girlfriend just bought me this awesome windproof lighter and I don't want to make her feel bad...

Happy new year guys. I'll be spending the night babysitting whilst my mrs is out on the town. I have 3/4 of a bottle of 24 year old single malt to keep me company and a few chapters of a Sebastian Faulks novel to keep me occupied. All the best to all.

Flabby - what malt? Not an Islay I hope: I'd be very jealous...
I was on the Montfort XO cognac after dinner. We had a few people over, and emma cooked scallops and chorizo on cress and kumara mash. This followed by a whole beef fillet cooked in milk and almonds with packets of mushrooms and Jersey Benne potatoes (The absolute best!). For desert we had a 17 egg lemon tart.
