Its always a shock to lose a friend or a loved one, words cannot ever hope to heal the hurt.

What helps is having others that you trust around you, to be with and to talk to. Interaction with others helps reduce the pain and pushes you to come out of the cold cloak of grief.

Remember the qualities and values of your friend that prompted you to be friends with them in the first place, in a way that will always be with you and a small part of your friend lives on.

I'm not sure mobious, but what i do know is the officers say they (3 in the car) were going alot faster then what they were supposed to (in a 35 mph zone) the car hit a tree broadside pretty much wrapping around it on one side and splitting in half on the other, the driver lived my fried bill and his friend derreck died =(

Well my friend john got in a crash before and the car was on fire and his mother had to rip him out of the seatbelt or he wouldve died.

Also the driver in THIS occasion must not have had one on because he was thrown from the vehicle and actually survived, so I am with Kiran they save lots of lives but NOT always.

I used to own a T-Top 82 Mercury Capri rs.
I always wondered if the seatbelt would be my demise if I was in a roll over accident.
but, then again if I was going fast enough to roll it my chances of surving a crash would be minimal anyway.

Yeah, someone that used to live down the road where I used to live thought they were an absolute protection as well. She was well known for driving fast on the highway. One day she lost control and slammed into a tree. She hit the tree at approximately 90MPH. The impact was so great that the seatbelt literally tore her in half. Her upper half was still in the seat. Seatbelts are good, but at those speeds its just as lethal to drive without them as it is with them.

I agree that seatbelts save lives. My mom and sister were in a rollover going 70 mph down the interstate when they hit 3 patches of black ice. My mom went to correct, hit another patch, then another... Explorer flipped and started rolling. The only thing that saved them was they were wearing their seatbelts. The doors were ripped off, the rear axel was snapped in half, tires missing... Was a rough sight to see.

No, I'm not just saying seatbelts are good because I'm a cop. I know they do their job.
