I just wanted to say thanks for everyones work (Except for you MD, you motherbiatch) in getting this place upgraded. A few snags here and there, but all in all well done

FWIW, Jim, I hope you recognized I was just kidding about the swear filter business. I think you guys have done (and continue to do) a tremendous job here on the DBB and, as Meatnik indicates, this bbs is about the only thing left holding this dwindling *community* together so folks should tread a little more carefully, imo, unless they want one less place to hang out.

I could care less if this place is closed.

I care. PXO and ICQ are good for different types of conversation than the DBB. This place is unique and special, and while it has its flaws, I wouldn't want to just give it up...

I'm pritty sure that if the DBB were to ever go down, another one would be brought up to take its place.

TW, if someone pissed off Kevin enough to take down this board, there's no way anybody else would step up and put down the money and effort to start a new one. There might be little freebie Descent boards that pop up all over the place, but nobody is going to put together something like this -- especially not for a community that lets this place die.

The DBB is one of a kind. There are only a few people in this community with the resources and the desire to run a board on this scale, and if we managed to run any one of them off, the rest would realize we're not worth the trouble. Most of the rest are already mods here, and I'm pretty sure we'd all stand behind Kevin if he decided enough was enough.

So, the long and short of it is, the people who make this board deserve our thanks. If you're not willing to give it to them, you've got some maturity issues.
