I was playing D2, lvl 3. I opened that first door, and met that first Diamond claw. I started firing flares at it, wondering how many I could hit it with before it fired those smart blobs back at me.

After 10-15 flares, the guy shut down. I mean stopped moving, stopped responding, SHUT DOWN.

I left the room to nuke the thief, came back, he was still like this. I went and tried it on another DC (no luck), came back, still there. That was when I took this screen shot. I'd never had a D2 robot just shut down on me like that!:lol:

I'll see if I can reproduce this! This is just too funny!

Sure you can ccb. He all so might be telling the truth. I too have seen strange behavior from the Diamond Claw on more than occasion. This sort of behavior could happen in D2 if you're invulnerable. After a certain period of time the Diamond Claw will just simply stop attacking and just float off.

Or maybe he realized he's not doing anything, and gave up.

Apparently, different Dclaws must have different personalities. The other one I tried this on kept attacking until I flared him to death.

Although he did kinda float backwards at one point.
