Not the all time greats but for a first time I was lucky. I traveled about 45 min out of town to get this based on directions from a bird email list. I spotted him about 1 hour after I arrived.
He was on the ground at first and then flew to a nearby pole. Then flew to the 4th pole down. By then I was to cold and hockey was starting in a hour.
Well, since these guys only come down to my area for winter and we only see them during the day in mostly rural areas I didn't get a chance to hear him.
